How billing works
One person, one bill.
Your own plan is yours. An organization pays only for the people it covers. If both would pay for you, we pause yours, so you never pay twice.
Acme covers Alex now, so Alex's Member plan is paused. No charges, same price kept.
Two kinds of plan
Your learning, and the learning someone pays for
Personal plan
You payFor your own pursuits. Free, Member or Pro, monthly or yearly. A locked price, like the $79 founding Member price, stays yours for as long as the plan stays active.
- An org can never change or cancel it
- Your pursuits, notes and chats stay private
Org plan
The org paysFor a company or school that covers learners. The org buys seats for the people it pays for. The learner never pays for a seat.
- The org sees progress on its own pursuits only
- Never your personal pursuits, chats or notes
Running an org is free
You only pay for the learners you cover
Owners, admins and guides set goals, run programs and see progress without a seat. If they learn too, they use their own personal plan, or an admin gives them a seat.
Already a member?
We pause your plan. We never cancel it.
When an org starts paying for you, your own plan steps aside. You keep your price, and it comes back by itself.
- 1You join the orgYour plan keeps running for the time you already paid for.
- 2It pausesAt renewal it pauses. No charges while the org covers you.
- 3Price keptA locked price like $79 a year stays locked the whole time.
- 4You leave, it resumesSame plan, same price, starting again by itself.
Credits follow the pursuit
Whoever pays for a pursuit pays for its AI
Org pursuits spend the org's shared pool. Your personal pursuits spend your own credits. The two are never mixed.
Want both? You can.
Keep your plan running too
Some people like to keep their own learning fully separate from work. Choose "Keep both running" and your plan keeps billing as usual, while the org still pays for its own pursuits. It's the only time anyone pays twice, and only because they chose it.
Questions
The small print, in plain words
Do I lose my founding price if my employer covers me?
No. Your plan is paused, not cancelled, so the $79 price stays locked. It's only lost if you cancel the plan yourself.
Can my employer see my personal pursuits?
No. An org sees progress on the pursuits it set up, and nothing else: not your personal pursuits, notes or chats.
I'm a teacher running an org for my class. Do I need a seat?
No. Owners, admins and guides run the org for free. You pay for the learners you cover, and your own learning stays on your own plan.
What happens to my work when I leave an org?
Your personal pursuits are untouched. The org's pursuits stay in your account as your own, the org stops seeing them, and your plan starts again by itself.
I'm on Pro. Does it pause too?
Not unless you want it to. An org seat covers Member features, so Pro keeps running and keeps its extras. You can pause it from your plan page while you're covered.
When does my plan start charging again?
The day you leave, or the day the org stops covering you. If you leave before the time you'd already paid for runs out, it simply carries on. After that, a fresh period starts that day at the same price.
